I’ve had an accident. What should I do?
Make sure you have all the information from the accident:
Name, address and phone number from all the drivers involved
Vehicle make, model, and license plate number
Insurance carrier, policy number, and phone number
Time, date, and location of accident
Police report (if available)
Assess the damages to your car to see if it is safe to drive. You should never operate an unsafe vehicle. If it is determined drivable, then bring your vehicle and paperwork to Parson Buick Collision Center. If it must be towed, call us and we’ll take care of that too!
Do I need to get more than one estimate?
No. Connecticut law states that you do not have to get more than one estimate for your vehicle. It is your choice where to get your car fixed, therefore you don’t need more than one estimate.
My insurance company says that I should take my vehicle to their preferred shop, I want my car fixed by Parsons Buick, what do I do?
It is against the law for any insurance company to steer clients to their “preferred” shops. It is your car, your choice! Tell your insurance company you want the professionals at Parsons Buick to repair your car, and then bring your car to us. We’ll handle the rest.
If my vehicles frame is damaged is it a total loss?
No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs out numbers the insurance companies estimated value you of your vehicle. We have full capabilities and a fully trained staff in unibody repairs which includes re shaping a bent unibody or if need be replacing a section of it.
Can I get other service work done on my car while it’s done?
Of course or service department is one of the highest rated departments around and can take on any repair or most makes and models, foreign and domestic. Just let us know and we will be sure to get everything arranged for you.
